Yesterday was a whirlwind day at TimTech…everyone was firing on all cylinders and we got loads done.
So here are some of the best bits as they tend to say on those reality TV shows.
XP For ILH Bracket Surfing
This is now live and we have had lots of winners already.
The main points to note are:
- Bracket surfing at ILH is a daily challenge so if you surf more than your opponent on any given day you win.
- The XP award is not automatic and MUST be claimed the following day.
- To claim your XP simply login to ILH and if you have won there will be a message saying you have won and a box for you to enter your CTP username.
- If you forget to claim then you lose the XP…the idea is to reward people for taking action each day.
Sharing Badges
We have made this more user friendly:
- If you are on a CTP Team then any of your team mates who don’t have the badge are shown first, up to a maximum of nine.
- If there are less than nine then that number of people will be shown
- If all of your team mates have the badge you want to share then it will show nine of your friends in CTP.
XP on Tiered Surf Badges
This is the “super awesome sauce” addition to collecting badges and here is how it works.
- When you claim the tiered surfed 50, 100, 250, 500 and 1,000 badges at participating sites you will automatically get that number of CTP XP too. (Four times the face value of the badge if you are Kore4 upgraded.)
- All of the TimTech sites give XP with the tiered badges.
- In addition the tiered surf 2,500 badge at TimTech sites will also give you XP.
- It is up to the owners of non-TimTech sites with tiered surf badges whether they offer XP with these badges…and we were inundated with requests from owners the moment the new feature went live.

I am loving this for real I have been awarded a lot of xp, and for me that just makes surfing for CTP all the more enjoyable.
