As anticipated on this blog, the rivalry between Lucky 13 and The Strays is indeed hotting up.
Almost as soon as I write a post predicting that it would then The Strays fire off their response to Lucky 13 squirting water on their fur. (Don’t you just hate it when someone squirts water at your fur?)
Anyway this is what The Strays have done…
“We don’t rely on LUCK, we rely on teamwork and effort,” is the message from The Strays in response to the “losers” advert from their feline rivals the day before.
And I love the scratchcard theme…scratchcard…lottery…luck…get it?
I would really love to see this play out at a forthcoming Sweeva Surf Party…these two teams have awesome members who really understand what this is all about and they are having great fun in the process.
Utterly fantastic stuff.
Unlucky 13 Scratch.
Better Lucky Next Time, Lucky 13 π
Fun is definitely the word! Loving this lol. Thanks for posting the splash. Has anyone noticed how much XP Lucky 13 didn’t win on the scratch card? Go Strays!
Well done Kris π
Ha,ha, good luck to them!
Yeah, Yeah. What have you done for me LATELY?
I spent much of the last 24 hours traveling and sleeping. Imagine my surprise…
Trash Talking? Now I know I can excel as a leader.
Good Lucky 13 with your project, Strays…
And a truly great splash it is. That is serious!
That is a great splash! A surfaholic is looking with an eyebrow raised, at a lucky cat fight π bring in the popcorn :)))
Honestly, how immature can you be. I hope that the next team to beat you don’t get treated this way. Did you seriously think you would win every single week. I bet the owners of CTP never saw this coming. So much for friendly competition when you have people posting nasty words against you just because you did better than them the week before.
It’s okay, Wendy, we started it!
Yes Wendy, is all good! Friendly bantering makes it much more fun!
lololol…oh my goodness, nice come back Strays!! TouchΓ©
Thank you very much! π
The Lucky 13 knows what i’m talking about!
Go Lucky 13
LOL…not bad!
Lol, Nice comeback Strays π
All in the spirit of fun friendly competition.
Let’s all remember that shall we!
Lucky 13 will ALWAYS be a force to be reckoned with!
We are the Dream Team that Never Sleeps! Lol
Let’s start to surf with fun π
Let the fun and games begin go Strays we are awesome.
Funny, huh? Not in mho.
Who doesn’t like a good “cat fight”?
LOL Have fun, make money.
I think it’s time someone lets the dogs out.
It’s all in fun.
I think it’s spirited and hopefully people can see it for what it is…A fun little rivalry.
We don’t rely on luck. We just have fun
well done strays in response to Lucky 13 wtg strays.
lol, what will it be next. π
OwO!! Great work Kris and go Strays π
I saw that page in the surf last night and it didn’t even occur to me that it was a “Lucky 13” scratchoff ’til I read this post. Well played, Strays, well played! π
Just remember it not over until till it’s over. Away to go yet this week.
Have fun
LOL…too funny – innovative for sure π
Haha…Good respond!!
Let The Cats…aaarrhg! Fight Begin!!
ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzZZz
.
Off-field fights are good but On-field fights are most welcome…
So, we are heading for another close finish, may be…?!?
Cheers to both the teams!

Again, I think that good-natured rivalry between teams is easily misinterpreted when advertised generally.
The use of “trash talk” between rival teams is a long-honored and oft-cherished sports tradition, but it is not typical social conversation, nor is it a business opportunity.
Thus, I think the choice of venue for this kind of communication is not the best. There are too many non-CTP team participants in the surf, and the typical social venue in most TE chat is not like that of a sporting event. I think this makes the ads appear overly negative.
I suggest finding a different way to express your rivalry rather than in general splash ads. Or focusing them during times when you will also be dominating the chat, so any lurkers will understand that both teams like each other and are kidding each other. For example, post rival ads during a Sweeva party or pick a “throw down” time in a particular TE and make your own “challenge party”. The humor behind the ads is less likely to be misinterpreted, and you’ll have more fun.
You’re also less likely to offend the general surf population than with a general ad that has no explanation and just appears to be negative. And the general surf population is who we are all trying to get to know, like and trust us…Right?
Just my thoughts….
I agree Karen, well said !!! π
Well said Karen.
I’ll add my 2 cents. The rivalry and bantering are all an inside joke. If you’re in on it, you can appreciate the humor.
If you’re not, you may see the negativity or you may get that there’s something going on that you’re not a part of. Neither option adds to the know, like, and trust of building a real business.
That is why we’re all still here right? To build real businesses?
I have never liked to hear or see cats fighting. I hope it is in fun but I remember as a kid my dad telling us siblings not to fight because someone can get hurt and then there could be a fight, and with fights come hurt and hurt feelings… Hope you can get past that and keep if friendly.
