The Secret Advantage to Badge Sponsorships

There has been a secret strategy on some teams that has been giving them an advantage. It’s been a secret for far too long. I hope my teamates don’t ban me from my team for spilling the beans.

It’s Badge Sponsorships.

When you sponsor a badge you get your message shown every time someone claims the badge. It’s a great way to get your message visible, repeatedly, for a whole month. But there is a bit of fine print that most people don’t notice.

They give out XP..Β  To the person who sponsors it!

When you sponsor a badge, every time someone claims the badge, it gives the sponsor XP. And that XP gets the same XP and team bonus multipliers as any other XP. So essentially these sponsored badges are secret xp generating machines. They are working for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for the entire month.

It might not seem like much to you, but when you take that small amount of XP, multiply it by your bonuses, and then repeat it hundreds of times a day, it adds up quick.

Now for the best part!

We’re doing a crazy sale on them. Normally we charge $5 for a month of sponsorship, but until the playoffs start they will be $3. And it’ll stay at $3 for as long as you keep the subscription active. That subscription locks in your sponsorship for that badge.

To sponsor a badge you can either click the sponsor link on that badge, or you can goto the badge sponsor page and see some badges that are available (it refreshes randomly showing you recently claimed badges). Enjoy!

    $3.00 a month no other fee’s?

If so, I’m in, just give me an answer back.

  2. Remember this: its a sponsored badges Subscription who will run every month until cancel, and yet because of a bug, in many cases the badge you sponsor will on the day before its due on subscription be offered to others to buy.
I have many times asked to make this a one time / one month sponsoring instead of the subscription and the bug…but yet no positive response to that.
Result is that many of us has running subscriptions for badges sold to others, that needs to be cancelled
This is just for info as I know many people has struggled with this bug (including my self with 6 times lost badges on valid subscriptions)

Sig this was fixed long ago. Do you ever say anything positive about us?

      • Justin, you said Sig? ..guess you replied to my post tho.
Now Justin, I always say positive things about TT and also CTP, I run a business here and on all TT sites so its in my interest to say positive things about it πŸ™‚
As for this tread it was not mentioned that it is a subscription so I wrote info about that and about the subscription bug for the sponosred badges if thats fixed after May 1st thats GREAT ( May 1st isnt long ago tho so not sure what you mean by that)
Every month the last 5 months some of us has had problems…so if its fixed nothing is better than that!
Its confusing to read “Do you ever say something positive about us”
If you refer to support tickets when errors are discovered it seems you do not want to know about the errors?
Its in all members interest that the site is run with as little errors as can be, a good Customer Care should NOT take error reporting as criticism but as a possible help for the sites to run better.

Hello everyone !! On this subscription for the sponsored badges, it was my understanding that the badge was to give the XP each time someone clicked it !! It was stated in the original advertising when the sponsoring first started !!

I have had the same issue as Ole, with my badge sponsorship being offered up to others while I still had one full day left on my subscription. Other than that (and I think that is a fairly big deal since this is promoted as a subscription), the sponsorship at $3 is a great deal – advertising plus XP! Plus, it’s fun – so yes, I got a $3 sponsorship, even knowing it will be offered up to others before my subscription is done. Feel free to add your “2 cents” πŸ™‚
