    YES!! That is all…

  2. Would be more fair to all, would get more trying to get to that magic number

  3. Bud says:

Yes I think that is a wonderful idea!!!

  4. Mona says:

I like the idea of a drawing with the 4 winners. (or maybe even 10 winners with a price of winning 10.00) I also like the idea of the drive to achieve more XP during the week for the teams. It would be better than to have the same surfers winning all the time and for the lil’ guys and gals at the bottom of the barrel (no pun intended)it may make them want to strive harder to stay in the game.

I like this idea better by far, as it gives a much better playing field and more of a sense of fairness to everyone that Clicks Their Face Off. (I had to do it Sunny:) I would like to ask this – would it still be the top 100 surfers, or would it be the top 1000 or more due to all the members you have in CTP?

I think all in all this is a better and more ethical way to do this contest by far – is a go for me. Back to clicking my wrist off..lol πŸ™‚

  5. Mona says:

*(or maybe even 10 winners with a price of winning 10.00 each.) correction

  6. Birdie says:

Now you’re talking my language. Sorry if I sounded whiny before when you proposed a few top winners, but this does line up better with my idea of “hope for the little guys”.

  7. Emily Garcia says:

The contest idea is Fantastic! I think that would “light the fires” under most all of us. The threshold of 500,000,000….not so much. Just throwing this out there…one lower threshold, maybe 50,000,000 with the 4 prizes; or to get even more of us going…set up 4 different levels each with 1 prize. You could do 100,000,000+, 50,000,000+, 25,000,000+, 10,000,000+ or something like it so you will be getting most, if not all of us more involved.

Again, just throwing the idea out. Thanks for reading! πŸ™‚

    • Jon Olson says:

For sure….Always up to look at things like that. The main thing I want too, is to challenge people…That might not reach 500 million every week…But push themselves and their teams to reach that goal too.

  8. Greg says:

As Blake Griffin would say, “Let’s Bake This Cake”!!!!

  9. Karen Kuty says:

Sounds like a great idea–it gives everyone a goal in order to enter the contest.

If people don’t want to surf that much (or do other things to get XP), then they don’t enter.

Although I don’t think 500,000,000 is that easy a weekly goal–after 3 days, only the top 32 surfers have achieved that.

    • Jon Olson says:

Yeah, only at 35 right now too….I’m going to look at the numbers around Saturday evening and see what we are at.

  10. Kris Rogers says:

Some like a really good idea!

  11. I really like the idea, it will give everyone in the teams a reason to be inspired to surf as much as they can. I like 4 prizes of $25, it gives a greater reason to achieve the threshold.

  12. I love the random pick and I agree on having a qualifying threshold. it put it within the reach of all members πŸ™‚ good thinking and well done on driving the energy

  13. Charlotte Ericson says:

    It’s an awesome idea!

  14. Evelyn Kramer says:

    I’m game for that!

  15. Anna Smith says:

This is a very cool idea. Maybe the winners could get a special winners only badge too that they could show off and use to promote CTP? πŸ™‚

  16. Ole Rasmussen says:

    Yes . Cool – Go !!
small prizes…big prizes let it hang loose πŸ˜‰
Why not also add tokens to be won or even XP-Batteries ?

  17. James Ong says:

I think it’s a good way to allow everyone to participate and have a chance at winning.

  18. Anne Bergman says:

    I like the idea πŸ™‚

  19. Linda Mayer says:

Great idea! It will definitely generate more participation!

  20. Georgia says:

    Excellent idea

  21. ben says:

    nice idea why not

  22. Feri Eff says:

OK…in addition to this great Idea it would be better for simple Members, to announce an amount of Vault and DC contest, since we get not the same XPs for the same Games.

  23. Yes, very good idea.

  24. Ernie Pinard says:

Not only do I like it, I La La La Love It :o)

  25. Patricia Hedge says:

I think that is a great idea Jon!

  26. Wendy Browning says:

It’s not like the teams that are in the top 5 are given any special treatment the badge flag on page bonus is how a team gains the advantage and because it re sets every season the teams have to work hard to get that bonus back. Hard work.

  27. Maya says:

    Hey Jon,

I love this idea cause many more of us xp-hunters will have a change to reach that goal.
I would like you to consider next thing also..
For Kore4 members a goal of 500 Mill should be reasonable in a week but non-kore4 members would have to surf 22 hours a day as not every team has high bonusses.
So my suggestion is to put in 1 month Kore4 to the lotery that can be won for those that reached the goal without kore4.
For example if you want to divide $100 make it 4x $20 for the Kore4’s and 1 month Kore4.
    How bout that/
(and not for myself as I am kore4)

    • Jon Olson says:

Yeah I haven’t figured out the minimum cut off point yet…Not sure….I think I’ll have a better idea going into the weekend what people seem to be able to surf for…..But I do want to challenge people a little as well πŸ˜‰

  28. GARY SCHMITT says:

  29. Tim Hanson says:

Excelent Idea . Lets play some lottery

  30. Mary Goble Thomas says:

I love this idea! I also like Maya’s idea for the 1 month of Kore4 for a non-Kore4 winner, and Anna’s idea for the special winner’s badge. And Ole has a good idea to add tokens and XP batteries – maybe after the cash winners are drawn, a couple more names could be drawn for those prizes?

  31. Keith says:

    Yep…works for me.
But I would just like to say on behalf of everybody who can’t be bothered to surf that it just isn’t fair!

  32. I think that is a wonderful idea!

  33. Janice Campbell says:

I think it’s an awesome concept; however, the threshold amount would be a very determining factor on which divisions/teams could or could not participate. It could be disappointing for those teams that don’t have a lot of KORE4 members, where obtaining a very high amount of XP would be almost impossible for them compared to the teams that have higher bonuses and lots of KORE4 members where it’s easier.

If you could take this concept and divide it say into two separate arenas, that might be a higher incentive for lower divisions and teams. I hope this makes sense because a lot of people don’t understand that KORE4 members with their loyalty bonuses and earning higher XP, makes it harder for just CTP members and doesn’t make for an even playing field.

    • Jon Olson says:

      Here’s a few things I would suggest;

      – Get more Kore4 members on your team πŸ™‚ Not only does it sky rocket your bonuses, it also puts people into the ‘make money onlien for the long term’ mindset…That is huge.

      – By doing the minimal threshold, I’m not trying to cater to the people that surf for 30 minutes a week and want a slice of the pie. I have to make sure we have a minimum so that people actually have to work to reach a target. It gives people something to shoot for and i think that’s a good thing.

      – we’ll do it randomly live on TE Live to. so there wont be just one person winning, it would be multiple prizes. that should get people fired up, because no one is being ‘picked’ per se….Just hit the target, get entered to win

I am in a tough position because I want to open it up to everyone, but I really want to make people shoot for something. Not sure what the threshold will be yet, still thinking about it….But I want people to work for it πŸ™‚

    • Are you kidding me? EVERYONE has the same opportunity to be KORE4. If they don’t want to take KORE4, there loss. I guess they just don’t want it that bad.
Here’s a thought, instead of taking division winners in the NFL for the playoffs, lets take the bottom teams and let them have a chance at winning the SUPER BOWL.
      Sounds pretty stupid to me.
There are REWARDS for hard work and success. No one is ENTITLED to squat.
SUCCESS is the achievement of something desired. It is not the achievement of something GIVEN.

  34. pete Croucher says:

how about setting a threshold appropriate for each division. That way anyone outperforming their team or league would be in with a chance.

  35. Howard Fullmer says:

lets do this thang mighty mighty ubers we can do this πŸ™‚

  36. sandra walker says:

    I love this idea!”lets rock”

  37. druth8x says:

Is there anyway to make this based on say a % better than you did last week?

Meaning, if I did 10mil last week, and I did 10% better aka 11mil, I could be in for a prize, with all the 10% better members.
Also, make some for 25%, 50% 100% better.

This would motivate people to do better each week.

Granted, they may end up taking every other week “off”, so maybe the % should be based on all time week avg (for the season)?

    • Jon Olson says:

Would love to do something like that in the future, but it would require extra coding etc. We’re trying to get something done right away and something *cough cough* Jon can execute without needing anyone lol

  38. Sounds Great!

Here is an idea, make the minimum amount 600,000,000 to be eligible for a random draw for (5x$20)cash prizes since most, if not all above that figure now are already Kore4 Members. This amount won’t be all too easy, but doable with the bonuses that Kore4 Members receive on XP earned.

And take the ideas mentioned for Kore4 upgrades and other non cash prizes, do a random draw for anyone over 300,000,000 and above, since a lot of Members in this group do not receive bonuses on XP earned.

This way, if you want to win, you have to work for it. And if you do win you can have a sense of accomplishment for any prizes won, since you put in the time and effort to be eligible to win.

    • Jon Olson says:

Right now, without a contest at all this week we have 43 people over 500 million.

I’m really thinking of keeping it at 500 just because the extra push next week could really help motivate people and maybe even get some of the fence sitters to Kore4 their account πŸ˜‰

I’ll see what numbers are like tomorrow. But the contest WILL start on midnight Sunday / Monday.

  39. Boris says:

Great Idea! As for the threshold I guess that anything less than the XP amount of the last in Top 100 times two would be pointless (this is a challenge after all). At the time I write this 100th person has 150 mil. so the threshold would be 300 … if it was Sunday that is πŸ™‚
I guess your estimate of 500 mil. is just about right.

    • Jon Olson says:

Yeah I want to make sure people have to ‘work’ for it….And there are lots of people that do step up huge each and every week.

  40. Victoria Stein says:

My thinking could include some ‘upgrade’ incentive offers to be ‘won’ by those that simply cannot ‘afford’ upgrades,…in this way…not ‘buying’ a $ prize….and still ‘top’ performers in action, much like the idea that Robert Arnold stated with peak players….are they the best because they are ‘paid’ a higher salary,…or are they the best because they ‘love’ what they do and have developed a talent and skill…Maya suggested a good idea and I hope it ‘gels’ for the newest members of CTP to keep motivated.

  41. Jon Olson says:

So after a week….We’ve gotten 55 people hit the 500 million mark. With a quite a few others around the 350-400 million point mark as well.

This was without any contest running.

Still trying to find a good number that would motivate not only the teams, but the team leaders to get their people involved.

  42. R. Van Sky says:

A great idea Jon. Hunting for anything would be cool. XP is great. Maybe we can hunt for Terry’s socks. He hasn’t seen them in years

  43. Raj G says:

Let’s see how far surfers can stretch themselves..!
    Best of luck to all…

  44. Glenn Witmer says:

Would be a great way to get teams going
