If You Are King Of A Badge You Can No Longer Hide

Breaking News: Kings of CTP Badges can now be hunted down more easily to make them work hard to keep their kingships.

One of the fun elements about being the king of a badge is that people can claim the badge more times than you and take the kingship away from you.

But until now it was rather hard to find out who was king of the badge if that person had a lot of kingships under their belt.

This meant that those with a disproportionately high number of kingships would find it easier to keep their badges than those with only a few.

Complaints had been made throughout the kingdom and the age-old traffic exchange cry of “It’s Not Fair” was heard to be wailed in one of those pitiful voices which are often accompanied buy the quivering of the bottom lip and tears before bedtime.

So let’s look at Dani Samuelne from Uber Surfers by way of example. At the time of writing Sami has ten kingships to her name…

Dani Samuelne kingshipsIf you want them then all you have to do is go find those badges and claim them more than Dani has done.

Ok so far so good…

So let’s take her team mate Victoria Stein who has claimed  more than 45,000 badges and currently has 66 kingships…

Victoria Stein badges on CTPAgain you can see the last ten badges for which she gained a kingship but previously when you clicked on “view more” all you could see was the entire set of 45,000 badges with the kings “hidden” amongst the entire set.

Not many people would trawl through so many badges to find the 66 of interest so we decided to level the playing field.

Now when you click on “view more” the menu will display only the king badges…the invisibility shield has been disabled and the cloaking device no longer works.

Go hunt for the badges and become king for the day, week, month or year…how long you keep the kingship depends on how badly you want to be king and how badly others want to take it from you.

    Thanks for the information.

  2. Oh it’s so unfair, TimTech created new kingships and now people are claim these badges. Oh and it is so unfair that they are in the fastest growing team on CTP.
Quite sure I know which team they were complaining about given the profiles you feature in this blog.

      Hi Walter,
You may be reading a little too much into my choice of members.

I wanted to find one member with ten or fewer kingships and one with more than ten.

When I started to look Uber Surfers were in first place so that was the first team I called up and I happened to find two members there to illustrate the point I was making.

Had Lucky 13 or SurfAholics Alpha been first then I would have looked there first.

      Mystery solved…hopefully.

Here we go again,…and for any who think ‘unfair’….they lost site of how challenging it was to gain in the 1st place…and then there is K4 bonus advantage…to which I am not,…as purchased full lifetimes prior to K4….and at all the sites.

So,…what is fair in CTP Kingdom about all that…seems the more you try to make ‘fair’….something else is being compromised.

I think that when you are consistent,..and give back,…a thank you would be nice once in a while…..not why are you not K4?

    I am jus’ sayin’

  4. Thanks for the information

Thanks for all the information on kingships.

  8. Nice, I had clicked on the View All before and was sad to see it gave me everything. Now maybe I can find a few more!

I’m working diligently to keep my single kingship. It is very valuable to me. If I lose it I’ll have to return to being a scullery maid 😉

Maybe I am getting old, but I stopped worrying about keeping my kingships LOL. I lost some already and probably will lose all the rest pretty soon. Good luck to those who are being able to keep theirs. It requires to surf every single day at all sites and on top of that you have to be the 1st to claim your badges that day to beat your rivals. Not very much possible if you want to have some offline life also 🙂
Not sure though why would someone who has been claiming some badges for a year or longer should be worried. No newbie will be able to reclaim them that fast. So, stop worrying and do your daily routine. Just do what you have to do and play along the way. Not always easy, but what can we do? 🙂

This is the best attitude, I agree with Elina 100%.
We are not robots and never will be.
If you can grab a kingship and hold it for a while..great!
If you loose is….you are not gonna get punished 😉

  12. Wendy Browning says:

I wonder why anyone would want to hide that?

Interesting stuff. I really don’t have an opinion either way (and have no kingships) but I think it probably should have been made public long ago. If nothing else it’s interesting and worthy of bragging rights to see who has what badges – some of those badges (and the effort it took to acquire them) are simply outstanding!

  18. I noticed this feature likely the day it was put in place. The one thing that would make it better is if the kingship tab also told you how many times the badge had been claimed by the kingship owner.

It currently does not so you still have to hunt that info down.

  19. In case its not obvious… you need to know how many times it’s been claimed to know if its even in the realm of possibility.

If the badge has been live for 3 years and claimed 600-1000 times or more… any newer member can right that off as in the realm of possibility anytime in the near future anyway.

  20. Thanks for the information.

Thanks for sharing this valuable information…

Badge of Honor for sure – now easier to see who’s got it…thanks for the info

  23. I have to agree with Elina and others…

Why all the shouts of “unfair”?? So what that your kingships are now revealed?

Folks still have to WORK to achieve the kingship; the only difference is that, now, you can see the lay of the land, as it were.

Kings/Queens: Can’t stay hidden in your castle forever; the peasants are crossing the moat and banging on your door! 😀

  24. Tom Wacker says:

A perfectly good way to do business. Why should a kingship be a secret?

So. Did anyone offer Walter a little cheese with that whine??
