Which Sporting Team Would You Be…And Why?

I really liked this splash page from the SurfAholics guys…

SurfAholics sports splash pageIt is good because it promotes the team members and it is clever because it focuses on the sporting theme of CTP Themes.

So SurfAholics say they would be Manchester United, Liverpool or that other team from London whose name I can’t remember if they were in the English Football Premier League.

But what about you?

What sporting team would you be…and why?

Well Chelsea and a portuguese coach and Manchester has a portuguese player formed in my club (Sporting Clube Portugal), but my favourite team of England is and will always be LIVERPOOL!

  6. Lynn M says:

My team would be the Tennessee Vols. I know that means absolutely nothing to you, Patrick LOL. 😀

    • Patrick Griffin says:

Is that the team coached by Butch Jones, based at the 102,455 capacity Neyland Stadium in Knoxville…the forth largest in the country?

If so I would not be surprised to learn that the Vols have an all-time winning record of 445 games, the highest home-field total in US college football history.

  7. My team would be TraffordFC which will mean less to Patrick and a lot less to Lynn!

But they are close to home 🙂

  8. Neil says:

    Lemme think. Hmmm…

  9. The Buffalo Bandits – It’s the one team in Buffalo that has been a consistent winner.

The Manchester United of CTP teams.

  14. Karen Kuty says:

I am proud Yankee scum and pick the 49er’s (American football over European). They are my team, even when they suck.

  17. Scott Rohn says:

The team I would be the Dallas Cowboys. More Super Bowl Appearance’s and Conference Title games than any oter team. And 20 Straight Winning Seasons . A record No team in the Super Bowl era has come close to

  18. Boris says:

Red Star -Belgrade of course. Interesting thing is that Tom first dubbed our team “Man United of CTP” and the two clubs share a great history together, both sad and happy. First being Munich air disaster in 1958, second being Nemanja Vidic, team captain for both clubs.
Anyway, off I go not to sleep some more. Go Lucky 13!!!

  19. Well to take the cue from the opening Statement give me Spurs any day,

  20. Myra P says:

  21. Lynn M says:

    Patrick & Keith,

I actually worked for a UK-based information research company for 4+ years so yeah, I actually do know a little bit about what you folks over there call football… LITTLE being the key word there!

I think the only thing I disliked less than making a valiant but pitiful attempt to find scores and stats for the sports teams was whenever I was called upon to come up with stats on horse racing in the UK. Thankfully that didn’t happen that often!!!
