Ostrich Effect image

Justin’s Indiegogo campaign for his Ostrich Effect book closes in a little under two days time…43 hours and counting at the time of writing this blog post.

This means you are running out of time to secure yourself one of the first signed copies of this new book which contains powerful insights into Justin’s entrepreneur mindset.

It is this mindset that has shaped his business ventures over the years and which will continue to serve him well into the future.

Now you can share that knowledge…or you could continue to bury your head in the sand like the proverbial ostrich.

Maybe you are not the ostrich but you know someone who is and you are looking for a way to get through to them…well this could be an ideal opportunity to give them a nudge in the right direction.

By the way people have been asking about Justin’s offer of a chance to stay at his home for an entire weekend and to have a special bbq held in your honor.

People want to know if it was a joke or if he was being serious.

The answer is…both actually. The ‘awesome sauce bbq’ at Justin’s house was meant to make people smile but, being an entrepreneur, he is more than happy to take anyone up on the offer.

It is not every day that a book comes along which could change your life…this book has the potential to do just that. It could transform the way you look at running your business.

Let’s face it, we all have an inner ostrich.

Sometimes there are issues in our lives where we just decide to bury our heads in the sand and pretend they don’t exist.

If you do this in business you are seriously hampering your chances of success or even killing off any chance of success altogether.

Anyone who knows TimTech’s Justin Ledvina will know that he knows a fair amount about business and about being successful in business.

From time to time he has shared some of his secrets of success in the weekly T3 webcast sessions but stopped doing them in order to concentrate on his own business.

Now is is putting the finishing touches on a new book where he reveals 40 things that everyone who is serious about setting up in business needs to know.

This book is hard-hitting, full of useful information and is not for the faint-hearted.

However if you want advice that will help you succeed as an online (or offline) entrepreneur, then this is for you.

The book is called Ostrich Effect and currently features on an indiegogo crowdfunding campaign.

You can reserve an online copy for $10, a physical signed print edition for $25 or be the guest of honor at a bbq at Justin’s home your honor where you get to hang out with Justin for an entire weekend for $1,000.

That last one is not a joke by the way…in fact it is one of the most unusual perks ever to have been offered for an Indiegogo campaign.

Check it out for yourself right now: Ostrich Effect…the details.

Justin Ledvina wearing dunce cap

With just under one hour to go before the marathon 102 hours of crazy TimTech Black Friday weekend sales, CEO Justin Ledvina is wearing a dunce cap…but why?

Did he mess up on the deals? Did he upset Tim or Jon somehow? Is he trying to get across some sort of hidden message?

All will be revealed during the first hour of the massive TELive Spreecast event to mark the official start of TimTech’s five days of once-a-year discounts and offers for Black Friday 2014.

This still doesn’t explain the dunce’s cap though…but there is not too long to go now until we find out the answer.

Justin Ledvina makes a friend on his Alaska trip

Thanks to everyone who entered the caption contest over on the What Justin Did On His Holiday blog post.

I know that initially publishing the post without any pictures didn’t help, sorry about that, but we got it up and running properly in the end.

So Justin called up some of the barrel dogs (sounds like a good name for a CTP Team) to help him decide on who who should win and these are the results…

1 Russell Stockley – “So that’s where all the beer from the barrels went, mate that’s a damn shame, I am sure that the dogs would have pulled those golf buggy’s a lot faster had they drunk the beer rather than tip it into this ravine.”  50,000 XP

2 Terry Allison – “Ah man!!! I guess there is no boating today for us!” 25,000 XP

3 Stephen Whittle – “Justin: (sobbing) Can’t believe I have to leave all this beauty and go back home to those Timtech idiots
Other Guy: (with great sympathy) I know….your life sucks.”  15,000 XP

Ken Wolff, Barbara Erickson and Karen Kuty also each got 10,000 XP for entering.

Thanks to everyone who entered and the XP has already been awarded to you all…and as you are all Kore4 members you each received four times the amount of XP shown here.

Kore4 gave you more!

UPDATE: As a caption contest without pictures is rather difficult, I thought I would republish this post with the pictures this time…get writing your captions and someone will get a nice bonus of XP from Justin…

There is no rule that says every post on this blog must be about CTP Teams.

I mean there must be some relevance to CTP teams or I could just fill this with random people’s holiday snaps, or pictures of cats like Facebook users like to do.

So Justin is a key part of TimTech, he has just joined Plus one everyday and he has also just come back from vacation so… let’s look at some of his pictures.

There were dogs which lived in what looked like oversized drinks cans except they contained dogs not soda.

These dogs kept fit and healthy by pulling people up hills…

There were stunning mountain views…

and finally an opportunity for a picture caption contest…

Simply look at this picture below and come up with a witty and original caption for this shot of Justin and a companion he met on the vacation. In return Justin may decide to reward the writer of the best caption with XP for their trouble.

This is the type of vacation I would enjoy most…cold, stunning scenery and dogs in barrels with great opportunity for taking pictures. I would take that over a week or two lying on a hot beach any day.

Justin Ledvina on TELive 270814

Justin has never made any secret of the fact that he is not a huge fan of the name ‘TimTech.’

He thinks it sounds too old fashioned, gives the wrong impression of what the business is all about and is too ‘Tim’ centric.

In TELive on Wednesday, he said he would prefer something more modern, trendy and which encompassed what TimTech was all about.

He was just about to say something even more awesome and epic, or at least he looked like he was about to say something awesome and epic. However his feed was suddenly cut off by Spreecast’s Dastardly Demon of Vengeful Spitefulness, so we will never get to know what he would have said.

However you could give your views on what you would rename TimTech if you were in charge.

I have a feeling that the name TimTech is here to stay but it would be interesting to find out what alternate names you guys and girls come up with.

P.S. Sorry for that pixelated screenshot, I didn’t notice it at the time. It looks like Spreecast’s Dastardly Demon of Vengeful Spitefulness was actually trying to get Jon when this picture was captured.
