Upgrade in a program you really enjoy. But most of all, let the owners know they are appreciated! A little gratitude goes a long way! I’m serious…THANK the sponsors 🙂

5. This Is Supposed To Be Fun…Enjoy & Embrace It – Do you know who seems to enjoy their time with CTP Teams the most? The winners each season? The people with the most XP? The one who spends the most or surfs the most? Nope! It’s the individuals that absolutely thrive in a team environment. You see, this was built for one purpose, and that’s to get like minded people together. We ca achieve so much more when we work together, so embrace it and get to know your fellow team mates…You never know who you may meet in the trenches 🙂

The season has been a lot of fun, but you guys know what we are really playing for!!!! It’s the PLAYOFFS BABY!!!!! Let’s rock this and have a ton of fun!

Phoenix snatches playoffs semi final victory against SurfAholics Alpha to make final of CTP TEams season three against Lucky 13

SurfAholics Alpha won all but one week of the entire six month Season Three before crashing out of the playoffs last night in a battle described as ‘beyond epic’ by Jon Olson.

The dramatic departure of the hot favorites came in the dying moments of play when opponents Phoenix unleashed a short but intense barrage of lethal blows in their semi final game.

With the other semi final game showing only token opposition from Uber Surfers, this means that Phoenix will meet Lucky 13 in the final.

Ironically Phoenix won by employing exactly the same tactic which propelled the Ubers into the semi finals…they did nothing of note for 47 hours and then unleashed a torrent of frenzied activity in the final few minutes.

The fact that this technique could work twice in a row in these playoffs was amazing but the fact that it worked against what is the most experienced, successful and savvy team in CTP Teams is almost beyond belief. (more…)

Since TimTech launched there has always been a special bond with our customers.

Right from Day One we went out of our way to be open and accessible and that is one of the reasons why we have such an awesome community of diverse people here right now.

In the years that have passed that love has not diminished but it has changed a little bit…it has become just a little bit tougher.

Over the past year, in particular, we have been trying to push you just that little bit harder, so that each and every day you can get just that little bit better at what you do.

We know it works because that is exactly what we do internally among ourselves too. We keep pushing for us all to get just that little bit better at what we do.

It is another Monday again and this is another opportunity to shape the week ahead so that you get even closer to where you want to be.

Let’s assume that least some people reading this post took yesterday off. That’s fine by the way, nothing wrong in that at all.

Well, if so, you might have missed Jon’s latest blog post which is all about mindset and well worth a read as you settle into your tasks for the week ahead.

The second thing to push you to even better success today is, of course, the weekly podcast with Justin and Jon.

This is Week Three and it is another good one…so be sure to take 20 minutes now to find out for yourself.

Oh, and one last thing, have a great week.

It is easy to get social media very badly wrong.

Generally using it to push the “buy my stuff” message is using social media very badly wrong indeed.

Imagine walking up to someone in the street and saying: “Hey I just bumped into you in the car park ten minutes ago…my name is Steve and I have a great opportunity for you right now, let me take some time to explain…”

If you are like me you would make your excuses and leave and make a mental note to quicken your pace if ever you bumped into Steve again.

So why do so many people think it is quite acceptable to turn up out of the blue on Twitter, Facebook and Skype and immediately launch into a sales pitch?

Even if I wanted what they were selling I would never, ever, buy from someone who was so rude and inconsiderate as to presume I would be happy to just drop everything and listen to his or her random sales pitch.

It is like…get out of my face…and now you are blocked.

Jon had this happen to him earlier this week and spoke about it on TELive as an example of how not to use social media to win people over

The basic thrust of what the guy said to Jon on Facebook was:

“Hey I am not entirely sure what it is you do and I have no intention of actually finding out but I want to sell you stuff to help you do it better.”

Good luck with that pitch!

If you want to use social media to make sales then at least try to get it right.

Never, ever, go in for the sale right away, because this approach will not win you any friends.

Instead use social media as part of your overall strategy of building relationships because it is the relationships you develop with people which will allow you to make sales at a later date.

I think most people reading this blog post will understand this concept…now your task is to go out and help others understand it too.

Here is the bad news.

If only you had started building your list a year ago then you would be in a better position than you are today.

Here is the good news.

If you have not started already then you can start building your list from today, and if you have only done so half-heartedly until now then you can really put passion and effort into it from today.

Jon has repeatedly said that his main regret during his time online is not making list-building a priority from day one and Tony Tezak, another leading player in the industry, has said exactly the same on this blog.

RocketResponder for list building

If you missed yesterday’s TELive then do try and find time to watch the recording as Jon had some really great tips about how to communicate with your list of subscribers.

I think that this is a topic which will come up several more times in the weeks and months ahead so if you have any questions about any aspect of list building then bring them to Jon in TELive and he will answer them for you.

It is also great to see that the decision to award CTP Teams players bonus team points for building their lists is really catching on.

In case you missed it, you will get a 2% bonus for your team for each new name you put on your RocketResponder list.

It has been just a couple of days since this was launched and already it is having an impact on CTP Teams as these screenshots show…

Lucky 13 screenshot

This is a huge opportunity for you to build your business as you have fun with CTP Teams.

There had been complaints in the past that there was too much emphasis on people getting team points from making purchases or taking upgrades at the expense of others who were building their businesses.

Well there is no better way to build your business than laying the rock solid foundation of a healthy subscribers’ list.

Finally you can check how many new people you added to your list in a new “subscribers” column next to your name on your team profile page.

Using RocketResponder for list building makes sense

Look at this screenshot for a moment. What does it tell you?

“Well it tells me that TimTech are leading yet another affiliate contest…super yawn…very interesting…now tell me why I should care.”

Wow someone is in a bad mood today…what else does it tell you?

“Hmm that Tony Tezak is doing well too?”

No, no, no, you  are totally missing the point because today’s lesson is all about list building.

If you have been around this industry for any period of time then you will know that TimTech is pretty much at the top of any affiliate contest it enters.

In fact TimTech is so good at this, that some people ensure that TimTech is excluded from their contests for that very reason.

Yesterday in TELive Jon explained the number one reason why his company does so well in these contests.

It is because TimTech has been building lists of subscribers for many years and makes this a key feature of its business on a daily basis.

It is having a list that allows you to do things such as:

– educate and inform your subscribers about things they are interested in

– cement your position as an authority figure within your niche

– publicize your range of goods and/or services

– make sales

– make sales

– make sales

Thankfully we have sometthing at TimTech which allows us to do all this…it is called RocketResponder and you can take full advantage of it too for just $20-a-month.

How important is it to build a list?

Well put it like this. If you are working online (or offline for that matter) and not building a subscriber list then everything else you are doing could be for absolutely nothing at all.

Or as Jon explained in TELive yesterday: “Your vision going forward should be to stop focusing on getting 10 cents from surfing and start focusing on how to get 10 new subscribers instead.

“We made a mistake by not focusing on subscribers at the very beginning but it not a mistake we will make again and it is not a mistake we want you to make either.”

New RocketResponder feature for CTP Teams

We want to make it really easy for you to begin building your list so we had a bit of a brainwave.

We already know how much people enjoy being on CTP Teams and helping their teams do well. So we have introduced a new feature where you get a 2% team bonus for every new subscriber you bring into your own mailing list using Rocket Responder.

So you build your list, your team gets a bonus each time your list grows and everybody wins.

Jon said this feature was aimed at “bringing the focus back to BUSINESS in the traffic exchange industry” and that is exactly what you need to be doing if you are serious about making your online activities pay off for you.

How It Works

1. Join RocketResponder if you have not already done so.

2. Login to RocketResponder and enter your CTP username on this page.Integrate RocketResponder with CTP

3. That’s it. You are now good to go.

By the way, another really easy way to find the RocketResponder page to enter your CTP username is to go to your team page on CTP Teams and scroll to the bottom where you will find a link to the page you need.

Integrating RocketResponder with CTP

Finally the message here is not to stop surfing…of course we want you to use our traffic exchanges, it is just that surfing for mere pennies is not the way to go.

Here is that screenshot once again…there is good money to be made if you work smart at building your business and using RocketResponder to build your list of subscribers is one of the smartest moves you could make.

I think badge hunts speed up time because this week has just raced by…it is Thursday already which means this week is coming to a close.

At CTP Teams the numbers continue to look great with lots of XP being claimed and lots of activity.

I think it is fair to say that teams, in general, have got into a routine because with only a couple of exceptions, every team is in exactly the same position as they ended last week.

The top four divisions, where there has been no movement, are more settled so there is a lot of room for teams to try something different and rock the boat a bit…especially during a badge hunt.

There is also a clear pattern developing now with team domination over their divisions. In the Legacy Hits Division SurfAholics Alpha and Lucky 13 are very closely matched. Although the Alphas have managed to keep the upper hand so far this season, Lucky 13 are proving to be very strong competitors and its members really do want to be on the top spot.

In all the other divisions, the top team has generally opened up a large gap over the other teams but, in many cases, with more efficient team work probably not a gap which is too large to be overcome.

In the badge hunt, it is great that many people are really being creative with their clues and also thinking of new ways to promote their badges.

It is good that I am waking up every morning to clues in my inbox, telling me how I can collect badges. Those people who actively promote their badges will always do better than those who do nothing and just hope people find their badges.

Have a great Thursday everyone and have fun.

It starts in a few hours…Midnight eastern tonight!!!

After a week of watching the standings and coming up with a game plan to create one of the most epic XP contests in history, we’re about to get started on 7 days of madness!

Here’s how it’s going to play out…

We’re giving away a minimum of 5 – $20 cash prizes to random Team Players who reach the minimum threshold of 400 million XP.

Simply hunt the internet for CTP XP, surf the traffic exchanges with Tiered XP, look for special giveaways and accumulate as much CTP XP as you can over the next 7 days. When you each 400 million CTP XP, you get entered to win!

But here’s where it gets really exciting…

Once we hit 50 total players that have reached 400 million CTP XP, we will add another $20 cash prize to the pool for every 10 players that hit the threshold.

For example, if we get 100 players that reach the 400 million goal we will be giving away 10 prizes of $20! If we get 150, that means 15 prizes of $20 and so on….

The contests starts tonight at midnight and runs until next Sunday evening. And the more players that get involved, the more prizes there will be. So make sure your teams know…We’re giving away real cash all week long!

Here’s a few tips to get the most CTP XP this week:

– Read this blog post that Patrick wrote that describes all the ways you can generate CTP XP
– Surf the TimTech traffic exchanges for the 100,000 and 500,000 XP badges
– Support the traffic exchanges that offer Tiered XP surf badges, you can rack up a lot!
Kore4 your account. Upgrade at RocketResponder. Join Trck.methis gets you a 500% bonus for your team!
– Look for offers, deals and bonuses while surfing from people offering CTP XP! You can rack up millions of points a day!

Good luck to everyone! We want to give away hundreds and hundreds of dollars this week but it only can happen if you let your teams know and everyone starts hunting 🙂

Let’s get busy!!!!

Special note: The draw for everyone that reaches 400 million CTP XP will be done using Random.org and live on Traffic Exchange Live – May the 18th

A comment to Saturday’s CTP Teams blog post suggested that the ‘Team Message’ function within CTP was somehow hidden.

Well we actually thought that all teams were aware of it, but just in case, then it is time to explain what it is, where to find it and how to use it.

There is a Team Message function within CTP’s internal private message system which will allow you communicate with your entire team at the press of a button.

Initially the PM system was a way for members to communicate with each other or with their downlines but it has now been updated to include direct communications between teams.

How To Find It

1. Log in to CTP and click on the blue “Messages” tab on the top of the home page and this will take you to the “Private Message” system within CTP.CTP Private Messages system

2. Click on “Send Message” tab and you are all set to go. Hopefully that was not too hard to find.

How To Use It

1. Click on “Entire Team” so it is highlighted – it does not even matter if you don’t know the CTP user names of your team mates…the message you send will automatically go to everyone on your team.Sending a message to your CTP Team 1

2. Leave the second box blank, enter the header (or subject line) of the message in the third box and write your message in the large box at the bottom.

3. When you are happy with your message then just press “Send Message” button at the bottom of the screen and it will be automatically sent to all members of your team. (You can press “Preview Message” first if you like so that you can read it, and make any changes you require, before actually sending it out.)

The CTP Christmas game card is now live and also we have turned on the mini seasonal game cards so don’t forget to make these cards active if you want to collect the pieces and gain the prizes for filling them.

The seasonal mini game cards are:

* Frosty Friends

* The Holy Family

To make them active first make sure you have stocked up on mini prize cards. If not you can buy them with tokens from your “goodies” page on CTP.

Then just check out the box on the right hand side of the page which says “Load a Mini Prize Card” and click on the links for the card(s) you want to make active and you are all set.

Remember you can only collect the pieces for the game cards which you have loaded and active so why not get this done now while it is fresh in your mind?
