CTP Teams leaderboard showing the 400 million point mark

So there was a little internal debate within the TimTech staff play room today.

We were chatting about how many CTP Teams players would qualify for the cash prizes Jon introduced for this week.

I looked at the Top 100 list and predicted that everybody on the list would qualify for the draw by getting at least 400 million points this week.

Right now 73 people out of the 100 on the list have passed the qualifying mark which means there is 27 still to go.

Given that it Friday already I think this will be a close call but I know that you CAN do it.

Positions 74 – 77 have all got more than 390 million points so it is only a matter of time before they all quality. No doubt at all there.

Positions 78 – 84 have all got more than 350 million points so this group are also well on the way to quality well ahead of Sunday night’s Midnight eastern deadline.

Positions 85 – 95 have all got at least 300 million points right now so getting the remaining points needed to qualify will need work but if there is the will then they should finish with time to spare.

Positions 96 to 100 – the last five places on the leaderboard – have all more than 200 million points so it is a lot harder for them to qualify but not impossible.

I have my fingers crossed for you all…let’s see what happens.

Will my prediction be right or wrong? I shall be watching closely.

Remember for each group of ten people who now qualify for the draw, another cash prize gets added so it is well worth pushing hard right up until the deadline.

Ten teams have the honor of finishing Season One in the Premier League of CTP Teams. These ten teams have 247 members between them and each member has been awarded an exclusive CTP badge on their profile page.

The badge shows the world, or at least the world in the known CTP universe, that you ended Season One as a Premier League team member. This is something you should be very proud of and now it is something you can show off to the world.

Well done to all and all the very best of luck to everyone for the forthcoming Season Two in CTP Teams.

After yesterday’s marathon $5,000 prize giveaway, you could be forgiven for thinking that we might stop giving things away for a while at least.

But no…there is time to squeeze one last prize from TimTech in the coming days. Officially this is a rest week between the end of Season One and the beginning of Season Two which begins in a week’s time.

So if you want to take a break and just relax for a week then that is totally fine and nobody will think bad of you for it.

However if you want to continue earning team points, and by the looks of things, lots of people are doing so, then we have a random prize to give away.

One lucky Premier League member of CTP Teams will be awarded a random prize of $25 just for competing in CTP teams this week.

We know who you are. Well we know who is surfing and completing challenges and earning team points but we don’t know who is going to win yet…but it could be you.

The prize is an individual prize. Whoever gets it gets to keep it. Well after rewarding the teams yesterday we thought it was only fair that an individual member gets a little something for themselves also.

It is the last day of competition for CTP Teams today so let’s see where we are in the Premier League right now at 10am Eastern which gives us just 14 hours left to go.

So it is time to head over to the website of the The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) – the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data related to education.

No I have not gone totally mad, this is the website where I found the online map drawing software in their Kids’ Zone section…so plugging in the current Premier League stats into their software I get this…

And if we just focus on the top three we get this…

Top Three CTP Teams Premier League 10am EST Sunday December 28, 2014

SurfAholics Alpha cannot be caught. Even if the other two teams were allowed to combine their points as some superteam for the last week of the contest, the Alphas would still be in first place.

Can Lucky 13 move into second place though? Well the Uber Surfers have been increasing their gap over the last day or so so it will be a difficult challenge indeed but it is certainly not impossible.

CTP Teams overall top on Friday October 31

Last week Hunters were in the Competitive League but this week they find themselves holding down the fourth spot in the Premier League.

They have been there for a couple of days now and have obviously decided that CTP Teams needs a little bit of a change at the top.

Right now fifth place Kore4 are only just behind them but, so far at least, the Hunters have been unwilling to give up the ground they have earned for themselves.

The top three slots are much as they have been for some time now – SurfAholics Alpha, Lucky 13 and Uber Surfers in first, second and third places respectively. There is a lot of clear space between each of the teams but not so much that the positions could not change between now and Sunday.

It is a rather different story at the bottom of the league with TE Racing League, CTP Masters and Surf to Earn all looking pretty much destined to drop down a league this week.

Finally this week, the Top 100 Players table is rather interesting to look at this week. As you might expect, the Top 20 places are dominated by members of the Alphas and Lucky 13.

However the interesting news is that number one spot is held by Lucky 13 member Pan Garan who has earned an incredible 623 million points for his team this week – more than twice as much as the second placed Top 100 member. This is an awesome individual achievement indeed.

In fact how is that even possible? That is more from one person than the points totals of any individual team in CTP Teams outside of the top two.

With more ways than ever to collect CTP XP it looks like many teams are taking full advantage of these points earning opportunities.

By Wednesday two teams – SurfAholics Alpha and Lucky 13 – had more than one billion points each, they have now been joned by a third – Uber Surfers – and the Alphas have now earned more than two billion points.

As far as positions are concerned, there is no change since the start of the week in the top three. The Alphas are holding strong but Lucky 13 are within catching distance of them right now. Uber Surfers look like they will retain third place while Kore 4 and Hunters are in fifth and sixth spots respectively.

Right now Dream Team will stay in the Premier League but CTP Renegades are so close that it would take very little for them to overtake them. WealthBuilders and CTP Masters really do have their work cut out if they are to avoid the drop this week.

Things are also very interesting at the top of the Competitive League also as we enter the final stages of this weekly contest.

There have been very strong performances from Bonz Brigade and CSN but look how close things are for places three to six. Right now Surf Lovers will be the third team to move up a league but TE Racing League, Surf to Earn or Empower World Team are also well placed to take the third slot from them with a push to the finish line this weekend.

one billion

We now have two teams in the contest that broken the one billion barrier – Lucky 13 and SurfAholics Alpha.

These two teams have first and second places between them in the Premier League and have really pulled away quite dramatically from the rest of the competition.

Uber Surfers and The Strays are battling for third spot while Dream Team, Surf To Earn and Hunters are struggling this week.

CTP Teams Premier League on Sepbember 19 2014

It is another week where things have not moved too much – the top seven teams are the same top seven teams as last week.

Looking at the Competitive League it can be seen that Empower World Team has broken away from everyone else while Kore4 and those SurfAholic Bravos should have done enough to get back to the premiership.

An interesting side note is that the Empower and Bravo teams are both relatively small right now – with 15 and 11 members respectively so it is especially well done to them.

When it comes to making waves in CTP Teams then then can hardly be a team making a bigger splash right now than Walter Mulder’s Uber Surfers.

The team was created in the middle of a week, entered the Premier League at the first opportunity, quickly rose to challenge for the top three and today is sitting at the very top of the league.

Talk about all guns blazing, the Uber Surfers are a team on a mission and is proving to be formidable opposition for even the very best of the most established teams.

Had it not been for such strong competition from the Uber Surfers (first) and Lucky13 (second) then SurfAholics Alpha might be celebrating a record seven straight wins today but that was not to be.

As predicted CTP Masters, Surf Lovers and Bonz Brigade all made it back to the Premiership while their places were taken by Dream Team, Kore4 and Hunters.

Once again with the start of yet another new week, good luck to everyone taking part in CTP Teams.

And if you are thinking of creating another “New Team in Town” then Uber Surfers have demonstrated that it is very possible to come from nowhere and make a huge impact.

Uber Surfers New Team In Town Splashpage

After SurfAholics Alpha lost three key members last week there were some who were convinced their iron grip on the Premiership would weaken.

Some felt sure Tom Wacker’s Lucky 13, which took two of their players, would end up easily winning the week while Walter Mulder was going all out to ensure that his Uber Surfers finished first.

For whatever reason Lucky 13 were unable to launch a major challenge this week and they finished third, a very credible third a long way ahead of their nearest rivals The Strays (fourth) and Cash Surfing Network (fifth.)

It was Uber Surfers which provided the biggest challenge this week as they climbed from third to second spot and then worked doggedly to reduce the gap between them and the Alphas.

Their patience paid off late on Sunday night as they overtook their rivals with just a few hours to go and then slowly increased their lead. From the outside it looked as though the Uber Surfers could do the impossible…rise to the top of the Premier League in their first week of trying.

They actually almost did it but the Alphas are a team which thrives under pressure and they dug deep to regain the lead and keep it to secure victory for another week.

It was a close run thing though and the determination of these three top teams really does set them apart from the rest.

However looking further down the table the five teams immediately below the top three – The Strays, Cash Surfing Network, Kore4, Empower World Team and CTP Renegades – have all shown themselves to be consistently strong and it would not take them too much effort for them to mount a serious challenge for the top three slots.

Empower World Team came up from the Competitive League and on current form they should be able to stay up without too much trouble. Hunters made it to the Premier League for the first time this week also and this will be their first real test to see if they have what it takes to stay there. They have a strong leader in Valentin Mavrodin but he will  have to work hard to bring out the best in his new team.

It is the start of a new week and a new month at CTP teams so good luck to everybody.

I don’t have the latest monthly team data available just yet but as soon as I do I will post that on here.

CTP Teams Premier League Snapshot on 30814

With just over a day to go SurfAholics Alpha are still in first place despite losing three members to the two teams directly below them.

The first two departures were mentioned in this post and Victoria Stein later switched to Uber Surfers but the Alphas were quick to regroup and so far have lost very little momentum at all.

Walter Mulder – who has been recruiting hard in the week or so since he launched Uber Surfers – has also recruited Anton Parvov from Premiership rivals Bonz Brigade.

Uber Surfers are currently still third ahead of Lucky 13 and there is a fair sized gap opened up now between the top three and the rest of the Premier League.

I did say in my last round up that the league was tightest at the bottom and since then we have seen that Cash Surfing Network has climbed from ninth to sixth place – taking them out of the relegation zone.

However as the surfing activity moves up a gear in the final hours of this contest nothing is guaranteed as of now.
