SurfAholics Alpha were determined to make it back to the top of the Premier League this week despite the absence of their team leader.
Well maybe it was because of the absence of their team leader that they wanted to show him they could do good while he was on holiday.
To say that they left it until the last minute is understating things slightly. On Sunday they started the day in third position…and they were a long, long way behind.
They surfed hard, took advantage of bonuses, used a tactical Kore4 upgrade and shot into second place.
Getting to first place was harder than they might have imagined…and at one point it looked as they were going to fall just short of their target but they had timed it perfectly and rivals The Strays had to make to do with second spot.
It was an important week to win too, as we move into the final week of this current monthly challenge.
So this means, if my maths (or math if you prefer) is correct, and the numbers of teams does not change this week that the Alphas also win this month’s challenge as long as they finish in the top three this week.
The Strays could win the month if they finish first and as long as The Alphas finish fourth.
Lucky 13 could win the month if they finish first and both The Strays finish no higher than fifth and The Alphas finish no higher than eighth.
As a reminder of the monthly challenge end dates…I wrote this blog post on the subject.
As ever though…good luck to everyone and remember to always…have fun.
