Trying to find a Mastermind? Try Traffic Exchanges

Today I want to talk about something that I truly believe is such an important part of growing your success in your endeavors. Napoleon Hill in “Think and Grow Rich” talks about the importance of the mastermind group. This topic is highlighted in almost every personal development book or program I have read or participated in.

However while I believed in the concept, I couldn’t quite figure out how to put together a group of people who would be interested in mutually helping each other in the online marketing group. After all, most of my offline friends eyes would glaze over when I tried to explain it.

With the emergence of Social Media and traffic exchanges like CTP creating more of a community, it makes the process so much easier to attain. So many of us don’t take full advantage of all the possibilities from being active in the programs we participate in. To learn and grow, a healthy exchange of ideas is key. Creating a mastermind group whether formal or informal is now easily within reach.

Watch and participate in Blabs, Skype groups, chat in the Traffic Exchanges. Find out what people want to achieve. Ask questions, you will be surprised how many people want to help you achieve your goals. When you find some people with similar interests or challenges you want to address, just ask… you may be surprised how quickly you can build your Mastermind Group. Just remember to see how you can help others…its NOT all about you, it’s all about HELPING them.

Have you had an experience with a Mastermind or would like to participate in one? I’d love to connect and see how I can help YOU. I look forward to your comments.

  3. […] last post, I talked about the importance of a Mastermind Group.  Since then I posted on that topic here on the CTP Blog as a Guest Author (another step out of my comfort zone).   I hope you will check it out and leave a […]

Once upon a time, on a server far away, a ragtag group of social rebels no longer willing to accept where they were on their path to the future, came together to form an alliance.

Their mission . . . become a cohesive group combining individual talents, skill sets, and knowledge for the betterment of the group, and to engage the internet for mutual benefit.

It became the -mastermind- that propelled them into new directions, overcame obstacles, enhanced personal growth while benefiting all involved, and allowed several of us here today to continue on our journey.

It is by seeking out others that are of like mind, working WITH them, and realizing that the sum of the group can be grater than that of the individual, that we can all grow.

Nothing is more powerful in this venue than that of people seeking out knowledge, and then sharing it with others.

It has been said by many much smarter than myself that to see TRUE success, you must first HELP OTHERS achieve theirs. Your own success comes from the osmosis of the process from those you have chosen to be surrounded by.

Kudos Carla, for setting forth on a path to facilitate not only your future, but everyone that comes -together- to make their aspirations a reality.

Thank you for sharing Carla! How groups of people with a common goal achieve success is by building on the creative thoughts the members of the group. Those who share their ideas usually rise to the top and become the leaders. I attended a men’s retreat at Camp Myrtlewood this weekend:

It was a wonderful experience, but the leaders all had grey hair and were very concerned about the lack of young people in attendance. They called a meeting of the minds a half hour before the Sunday morning worship service to talk about the future of the group. I shared that I would be inviting my friends in social media to join us. So guys … you are invited … and guess what … they would like a few gals to come and help with the preparation and serving of the meals.

Even though this is put on by the Church of the Brethren it is open to all those regardless of your religious preference or lack there of. The activities are planned by those who attend and everyone is invited to have a part in the program.

  6. Hey Carla,

So glad to see ya here posting 🙂

And truly love the content of the post. I think many people online would love to become part of a group with similar goals. Two of the most frustrating things with this in the past has been to find those people. There’s some online that say their up for such things, but quickly it turns the had another thing in mind.

But as you speak of all the different social networks, it has become easier to find “like” minded people. Both through sorting by likes and dislikes, naturally those that respond to what your talking about the relationship just flourishes.

    Wonderful post
