Stray Cats…Why We Had To Find A New Home

Sometimes things just don’t work out. Yesterday in TELive The Strays team leader Virginia Herron explained why ten members of Crazy Cats People! decided to form a breakaway team of their own.

The upshot was that they wanted to do things differently and when this happens there are generally two choices…stick around and try to influence change on the inside or decamp and set up on your own.

The Strays opted for the latter and it looks like they really mean business. In less than 24 hours they have:

  • set up their own blog – CTP The Strays
  • Recruited three new members – up from 10 to 13 and on Friday the 13th at that and
  • Climbed up 36 places to get t top slot in The Competitive League…at this rate they will be in the Premiership next week.

Interestingly in TELive both team Nathan and Virginia said neither had any hard feelings about the events of the last couple of days…this is good to hear but I think the competition between both teams will be intense.

Cats, dogs, humans, birds, grasshoppers CTP Teams is getting like some kind of weird zoo…but as always good luck to everyone in CTP Teams.

New ideas and New ways of doing things should always be encouraged… that provides us with the opportunity to analyze as to what works better… experimentation is most welcome!

Cheers to both the teams for their openness and approach..!

  4. Sometimes you have to make decisions based on what is best for yourself. It takes guts to leave a team and start a new one. I wish you all the best but look out this is still a competition. I know that some members don’t see it that way but just look at the way things play out. It’s not personal it’s business can be applied here. I hope that the relationships you built on the previous team can withstand the stink of being abandoned. And will learn from what has happened. Good luck.

  5. Lynn M says:

Well good luck to all involved… will be interesting to see how things play out over the coming weeks…

  6. So we are all members of a weird zoo Patrick. Judging by the chat yesterday I would reluctantly have to agree. Our team didn’t come up with any animal sounding name…but I will poll them today to see if we can adopt an animal mascot or animal guiding spirit…we can all consult when things get a bit challenging.

Just imagine a our group gathered around the campfire after a hard night of surfing…telling our individual stories and then drinking to our animal guide for victory the following day.

  11. I have to tell you strange things are going on. I know it’s Friday the 13th and all, but not being superstitious about those things, what difference should it make?

Something psychological, maybe, lets take a closer look.
We have been talking about felines for several days now, and that sits in my brain pool and then I’m surfing a perfectly animal free site, Double Nice Traffic, nothing to worry about here, then I am around the 900 mark in pages surfed heading for home now, the easy part, right? Wrong, I start staring at the surf bar icons, they started out being some sort of dart, now they suddenly start transforming into something eerily resembling something else, good grief it’s cats. Beady little red and blue eyes, different shades of fur and at the cross of what was once darts is the nose and mouth of that finicky feline. I surf 902 pages error free then I started clicking the wrong image, 11 errors before I hit 1000.I am not superstitious, but something weird is going on here!

  12. Best wishes to both teams.
You do what you have to do.

  13. Wayne D. says:

Oh well…..CTP teams has lots of animal names as was mentioned by Patrick = Cats, dogs, humans, birds, grasshoppers CTP Teams is getting like some kind of weird zoo…but as always good luck to everyone in CTP Teams.

It could be like a circus, and if so – “Bring on the clowns” !

  20. Sig says:

To bad I missed that TeLive, but you sum it up here, and good reading, now time to go spy on them 😀

    A Zoo indeed. Rofl

  21. well there is no wild dogs yet, birds team so there is still room for more animals.

    • I personally like Yaks, They are the Sherpa of the animal kingdom. Working their little yak backs beyond the vertical weight capacity of anything other than a cat. Because there are no statistics on VWC for cats we can comfortably assume they would be crushed. So, although I wish all furry feline teams well, remember that cats all scream and whine while Yaks just Yak.

  22. Selya Rollins says:

Now that was a serious jump for those cats, job well done.

  23. Remember folks, this is only a game.

  24. Virginia Herron says:

Friday the 13th has been a lucky day for us, though we are still seeking out more motivated individuals. The only requirement is a willingness to work hard and to participate in team activities.

  25. My firs thought when I saw their placement the next morning was that they would be movin’ up fast. I was right and I am rooting for us all.

  26. R Van Sky says:

    Jim is sad

  27. Sheikh M. Anees says:

They are already at 8th spot and its look like they can finish their week at 5. Doing Great Job.

  28. Karen Kuty says:

Good luck to both feline teams! And, as always, go Team Wake Up Now!

  29. It does appear that they will be doing the Stray Cat Strut in the Premiere League. Congrats!

  30. Glenn Witmer says:

I have a call into animal control to pick up all these cats…please don’t feed them

  31. Shawn W says:

Nobody likes a stray cat 😉

    Go Bonz Brigade, Go Team!!!

  36. Competition is always good for business action. Provided it is done honestly and with clear rules. All equipment will follow their leader and will follow the rules, which do not agree, you should leave.

  37. Go Bonz Brigade, Go Team!!!

  38. Jaco Alberts says:

    Good luck to both teams

  39. Ken Wolff says:

Yes it was Friday the 13th and the moon was full. The CTP zoo was hoppin’ with cats a stray and dogs on the chase. Teams working together and different styles of leadership is something to behold. I could jump ship and start Team Wolff as I though last nigh while howling at that full moon. No. that is not likely. We have a great leader of Wake Up Now and the ideas of all team members are welcome in our blogs and chats. The last time I looked we had one spot open but a few at the bottom of the activity list seem to be out of place and went to sleep. More spots may open on our team if they don’t wake up. Good skill to all the teams as we improve our strategies for success.

  40. Abdellah says:

good luck to all, go kore4 🙂

  41. Glenn Witmer says:

hope all the teams do well

  42. Shawn W says:

    Good luck to everyone
