It is a law of the natural world that what goes up must also come down again…I think gravity plays more than a small part in this one to be honest.
But, you might ask, what has that got to do with CTP Teams? Well while looking at the tables for my weekly round up I could not help noticing that two of the teams which went up a league this week are in danger of going straight back down again.
On current form both Dr Kelps Racers (9th) and HomeRun Hitters (10th) will drop back down unless they can work some magic in the final three days. Dream Team (8th) could also wake up to life in the lower league next week if they are not careful and Bonz Brigade don’t exactly look too comfortable in 7th place.
Of the three teams which went up this week only Cash Surfing Network – Team 1 (6th) looks safe. At the top of the table SurfAholics – Alpha are back in top slot but they only have a relatively narrow lead over second placed Lucky 13 and third placed Crazy Cats People so we could see a lot of movement at the top in the days ahead.
I can see any of these teams taking the title this week and on current form would expect that these will remain the top three teams at week’s end. I actually fancy Lucky 13 for the top slot this week after the cheating saga was quickly and successfully resolved, this team seem more cohesive than ever. This really could be their week.
However while there is a massive gap between the top three and Empower World Team (4th) and an even bigger gap down to Cash Surfing Network – Team 1 these latter two teams are also worth watching closely.
Meanwhile in the Competitive League, CTP Masters (1st) and Wake Up Now (2nd) should go right back up again. There is no reason why The C.T.P Renegades (4th) also shouldn’t earn immediate promotion but TEAM GREEN (3rd) are unlikely to let them do so without a fight. Finally my own team SurfAholics Bravo (5th) has had its best week since joining the Competitive League but I am not sure we are ready for the top level just yet.
