  1. David McKay says:

    Well done Elina. ๐Ÿ™‚

A quick mention and thumbs-up for George and Lynn in 2nd and 3rd too.

    • Lynn M says:

Well thanks David. I only got 134 badges, I’m still scratching my head over being in the top five, I really wasn’t trying that much (and completely avoided all the huge surfing ones and most of Arnie’s, LOL).

  2. Howard Fullmer says:

Everybody was big foo hunting those badges were fun and exciten

  3. Charlotte says:

    Congratulations Elina! WTG

  4. steven schofield says:

Congrats to Elina and Lucky 13 for winning the team badges, well done ubers we came second awesome.

  5. Well this is the most dodgiest of winners.
When something gets rigged only the cheats prosper.
To say that no low under handed methods where used to achieve this win would be a lie.
It is duly noted what took place and how this competition was rigged.
It is also known who the accomplices where that helped in this deception.
The honest people who actually had a go at winning this I feel sorry you where robbed by cunning under handed methods that the most sleaziest fox of the lowest life foxes would use.
If rules are not put in place to stop this ever happening again then the problem will compound and everyone will use the same methods.
There was no real honest winner here but a precedent was set that could have ongoing effects for any future badge hunts.
Myself personally I am absolutely disgusted in the way this competition was run and what was allowed to happen.
Some days it pays to be a crow gone back to my fence post.

  6. Lynn M says:

Congrats to Elina and all the winners! And thanks David, I really had no idea I was anywhere close or even in the top ten or twenty, much less the top five. I only got 134 out of 181 badges so I was quite shocked.

  7. I see people taking this hunt thing way to seriously. There are a lot more other things in life that are truly important. We all tried hard, some tried harder. I would like to presonally congratulate Elina for winning as well as everyone who put the time and effort into this. As from everything, lessons have been learned, but hey, we all got a life to live.

Given this chance, I would also like to state that this event brought in a lot of new friendships for me, which I strongly believe is far more precious than any cash prize.

  8. Wow Rob.

Those are some serious accusations that you put forth here.

    Rigged? Underhanded methods??

Do you know FOR A FACT that Elina et al did NOT do the required tasks for the badges, and that EACH badge holder just handed the badges to them…???

  9. Sig says:

..so there it has ended for this time.

But we still got the uber surf central, I think it has been over looked.

But its there for those who like to find some cool badges, and 1st prize is 15000XP this Week.

Check it out if ya have the guts ๐Ÿ˜€

  10. Randy Sult says:

    Relax, and Uber Surf!

  11. Mandy Moomy says:

Well done Elina ๐Ÿ™‚ – what a surprise!! not!! every badge I won you were already there – I tried my best and got 132 of the badges – not a bad effort I think – but my only comment would be there was a lot of money needed to win a number of the badges – leaving us “country mice” out in the cold.

Also big congrats to Lynn you were there also ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Lynn M says:

Thanks Mandy, I really had no idea I was anywhere close. I only got 134 out of the 181. George & Elina both came within a mere handful of having all 181 badges, I expect. (Of course there were still two left that nobody was able to get, so 179 in the end would have been complete, I reckon.)

  12. Jeff Dionne says:

    Congrats Elina
And thank you for collecting badge 119 at my te site
    http://highresponseads.info

  13. Karen Kuty says:

    Congratulations to the winners.

  14. Jon Olson says:

Yeah that was pretty harsh comments.

    Here’s my 2 cents…

TimTech does these badge hunts with one rule. The badge owners make up the rules.

That’s how we’ve done it in the past and we did it again this time.

We’re not blind to the accusations but at the end of the day Elina crushed it and collected more badges than anyone else. That should be congratulated. Everything else is hear say.

As for George, I personally know something he was planning to do and because of that, TimTech will be donating $50 in his name to the TE Cares water charity. I personally love when I hear about how guys like that wanna help people if he won. To me that deserves a high five!

Anyways, we appreciate the feedback and would love to hear more of it. But the finger pointing shouldn’t be the way to do it.

    • Since you asked for feedback this is the last thing I’m going to say about it here but I think you shouldn’t turn a blind eye to some of the things that happened. But it’s up to you of course if you want the cheaters to run wild.

  15. Marye says:

    Congrats to the winner(s) –

I still think it would be better if competitions were (without prejudice) fair for all – not everyone can afford all the paid offers that would have put them at a higher advantage of winning – if its a true competition it should be based purely on ability to complete tasks – not who has the most cash to pay out for badges…
it was fun but I knew there was no way in h-e-ll that I could come anywhere close to being in the running since I couldn’t afford it financially.

  16. Just a reminder: the hunt is over. Please take down your badge claiming pages cause after two weeks in the hunt, I can’t control my hand anymore and I keep clicking on them while surfing…

  17. Wendy Browning says:

Yay, well done. That was so much fun.

  18. Anne Bergman says:

    Congratulations Elina!

  19. Elina Balashova says:

I would like to hear what did I do wrong this time to be called cheater and such, Rob? Really would like to know!

  20. Raj G says:

    .

    Congrats Elina…

its a great effort by all winners…

    .

  21. Elina Balashova says:

Mandy, I don’t have an offline job since I moved to another country, so I can not afford buying all the badges. I had to surf for the most of them to eliminate my rivals. Which didn’t help much in the end :). There were some badges that required purchasing stuff, but majority was about surfing and signing up, or just communicating with badge holders…

  22. Michel says:

    Congrats Elina
With only 83 badges, I am so far !!!

  23. Congratulations to the winners and to everyone who participated by surfing, signing up and generally networking with badge owners and other people. It was a great hunt and I’m already looking forward to the next one!

  24. WTG ELINA !! Well deserved…. dont always read what Rob says cause THIS was just pure bullshit from that mouth….sometime you have to just plain SHUT UP ROB ..
No need for words like that with your CTP friends ….GEEEZE
    Lost repect there *Sir

  25. Erica LaRoss says:

Way to go Elina! You crushed it again! ๐Ÿ™‚

  26. Andrew Stark says:

Rob makes a fair point as a few badges were a little bit dubious and I will write a blog post about this. I think that as a badge owner you need to take into account what could happen to your reputation if you were to give them away to some whilst claiming on the badgehunt page that you had to upgrade to find them.

As ever I saw a few winners and people I would buy advertising from in the future, and I saw plenty of people who I will not deal with.

Lastly congratulations again Elina, spend the money wisely as with all the surfing time you put in it is well deserved.

    Andrew

  27. Ken Wolff says:

Congrats to all the winners! I had my bet on Elina!

  28. Stephen Whittle says:

    Congrats to all the winners!

  29. Great Job Elina. Congratulations!!

  30. Anton Parvov says:

Congratulations to Elina and Lucky 13 for winning

  31. Lee Chapman says:

Congratulations Elina! WELL DONE! Way to go to the 5 runners up too, your effort was amazing! ๐Ÿ™‚
