Team Leaders Can Collect 1,000 XP From Hunters Leader Val

I was talking to Hunters’ team leader Valentin Mavrodin earlier and he told me that he had something in common with two of his members…

All three are from the same city…Bucharest in Romania.

Here are some facts that you probably didn’t already know about Bucharest…

      • Built by former Romanian President Nicolae Ceausescu, Bucharest’s Palace of the Parliament – also known as People’s House – is the largest, heaviest and most expensive civil administration building on the planet.
      • the name Bucuresti dates from 1459, when it was recorded in a document of Vlad III the Impaler, the ruler of Walachia.
      • Vlad III built the fortress of Bucharest–the first of many fortifications–with the aim of holding back the Turks who were threatening the existence of the Walachian state.
      • Reborn in December 1989 as a free nation, the multi-faceted Romania boasts a wonderfully eclectic heritage of traditional culture, scenic wonders and historical architecture.Once known as the “little Paris of the east,” Bucharest is home to top shelf culture, entertainment and artistry.

OK so the Romanian Tourist Board can thank me later but Val and I both think that Hunters are the only team with three members from the same city.

And Val has decided that he will offer 1,000 XP to any team leader who can show that they have four team members from the same city.

And just for the record the three Hunters from Bucharest are:

  7. Lol! I know David and I on CTPMasters are virtually neighbours! We live about a 5 minute car ride away from each other!

  17. Ken Wolff says:

Well, you had to say that related thing Karen…we have two on Team Wake Up Now from Eugene, Oregon. My lovely wife Elaine an myself. Anybody else from Eugene want to join our team?

  18. Jon says:

Here’s some more stats for you. Bucharest is the 6th largest city in Europe with a population of close to 2 million people. Manchester (where I hail from) is down in 58th on the Euro list with about 500,000 residents. Therefore, I am a greater percentage of my city’s population than the 3 inhabitants of Bucharest. Do I get my 1000 xp now? 😛

  19. Rob P. says:

    Interesting challenge 🙂

  20. Lynn M says:

  21. thanks for the great information, a lot in common in the team.
