Most people know by now that Kore4 gives you more but how many people can hold their hand up and say they know their sKore?
sKore is the new way of people within CTP Teams knowing their potential value within a team…your sKore is a basically a measure of what you do on your team (in as much that this can be measured that is.)
So let’s look at like this…say you wanted Tim Linden on your team…and, believe it or not, lots of people do.
But you also heard that Justin Ledvina is looking to join a team (he is by the way but that is for another blog post) and you are also thinking of poaching Jon and me from our current teams.
Who would be better? Until now it was impossible to tell, but one of the Golden Geese of XP suffered a recent injury which prevented her from laying eggs, so she has been transferred to Statistical Analysis and Advanced Number Crunching.
One of her first tasks was to help Tim develop sKore and they have worked on this project all day.
So back to our problem…how to decide between Jon, Tim, Justin and I…well now you can take a look at our sKores.
So as you can see you can see that Jon is a pretty useful person to recruit for your team where as Tim, Justin and I …well not so much.
Your sKore is found on your profile page and is based on your overall team activity.
It will take your overall activity, averaged out over 30 days,Ā and generate a number which has a theoretical maximum of 100 and a minimum of 0, although in practice it would be extremely difficult to get a maximum sKore.
Over and above that – and the fact that your sKore will be updated daily – the Golden Goose of Numerical Data is saying tight lipped about it.
So check out your profile page right now and get to know your sKore.
Someone payed the goose to mess with my sKore!
It doesn’t seem like Justin has more sKore than you, Patrick. š
I’m so glad to know the meaning of this thing, I’ve been wondering for a while. And I’m pretty proud of my “tiny” 68.
68 is totally awesome…wtg Sabrina
Thank you for sharing!
So now the game begin to find out how to improve your sKore
I think this is a fun and useful feature! Thank you so much for bringing it to us.
cool
Linden + Olson = ME….that is all š
Nice new feature thanks for explain it
I think it has to do with more than just a skore when you talk about your value to your team, I see a whole lot of people jumping around from team to team and even starting new one’s. I hope that I am allowed to be a part of Lucky 13 for the remainder of my time on CTP rather it be 1, 5 or even 20 years.
Very true Wendy…it is but one indicator. Like any indicator it does have its limitations and it is not supposed to be a definitive test for “value” by any stretch of the imagination.
P.
Well said, Wendy. Interesting new feature.
When I first saw that my sKore was a whopping 2 I was somewhat dissapointed, then almost immediately I found while surfing Showbiz Hits my very first GOLDEN EGG some I am confident that my sKore should rise dramatically now! Thanks Chris and Lisa for the 10,000 EXP Egg! š
He we go comparing ourselves to each other again. It’s really how you feel inside that counts, you own internal skore. (should that be capitalize?)
I am rather traumatized at the moment to find out Jon has a higher SKORE than I.
Oh how crushed am I.
Nick
Hi Nick…I am sure you will get over this crushing trauma in time. Keep going strong. P.
I”ll tell you what. This is big for us ‘number freaks’. More data=better decisions. Thank you Tim and the geese!
So. Olson+Linden+Ledvina=Me. I’m good with that.
Yes Tom – for those who like data it is another tool but like all data it needs to be interpreted correctly.
Where are those golden geese anyway? I have never seen one that could crunch numbers – quite the statistician.
It is quite a special goose which is why Tim won’t reveal its exact location to anyone.
P.
Good information…more fun, more Eggs to crack š
That is awesome.
Man, don’t your brains ever take a break? I guess the beauty of the TimTech TEAM is that at least one of you is thinking about something new and cool all the time. You guys just seem to rotate around on the cool edge…
I like it!
What a great thing added yet again …WTG
Skore more with Kore4…kinda catchy in a nerdy way š
didn’t there used to be a candy bar called skore….yummy Swedish chocolate…
SKore …. Love this new feature!
looks like that my brain has to jump a couple of gears!
.
that’s good…. a measure to find active mates… cheers!
.
Interesting statistic.
Glad to see my score is at least equal to Justin’s. I better get busy and work on that.
Another great idea.
Interesting new feature – but I think you guys need to slow down on your coffee intake š
Looks like it will be very interesting indeed
This is a really cool addition. I/we generally depend on Tom and Boris for number-crunching and I know Tom digs it. Well done!
Pretty cool stuff. Like Wendy said, I hope to remain with Lucky 13 all of my CTP days, no matter what my sKore is!
We need to remember to keep it in it’s proper perspective.
Personally, I think it is yet another good motivator to encourage us to be more active in our teams.
Pretty cool.
Golden Goose with an injury, huh, LOLOL, poor baby.
The sKore doesn’t seem to be in line with the number of points contributed by the various team members. I’ll need to keep my eyes on this and see how predictive it turns out to be.
I like this new feature.
